Very interesting interview! "Type C" personality is the very audience Plutarch has in mind for the treatise of his I just translated in How to Have Willpower. I wish I'd know about it before. The quote above -- "Many Type C people feel broken, ashamed, or less than" -- is exactly what Plutarch says: that the impulse to make other people happy at the expense of yourself is, he says, an "oversensitivity to shame."
