Whatever you write or state, on whatever subject, but, especially on Stoicism, CBT and other behavior-modification therapies, please don't degrade it by comparing it to an "Operating System". The term "Operating System" was coined to describe a software driven device meant to serve as a bridge between the extreme technicality (Codes, languages etc.) of a computer and a user-programmer of the computer. For example, Windows 11 is an operating system for a PC, Macos for Apple.
I am at a loss to understand, how even the idea of the term "Operating System" came up, in the context of complexities and inner workings of mental processes related to cognition and behavior-modification. Nothing personal, but a question of simple relevance.
Powerful stuff. Looking forward to reading more of Scott’s work
